5 ISLANDS SPEEDBOAT CRUISE

Are you looking for an adventure on the east coast?

A speedboat tour gives you
the opportunity to discover five islands off the east coast.
Your adventure begins with boarding at the port of Trou d'Eau Douce.
First we visit Île aux Phare (Lighthouse Island).
Then we make our way to Blue Bay,
passing Île de la Passe.
Once at Blue Bay Marine Park,
an unforgettable snorkelling experience awaits you.
Alternatively, you can “experience”
the tropical-exotic underwater world by glass-bottom boat.
Our tour continues past the Île des Deux Cocos to the Île aux Aigrettes.
Here we enjoy a small snack and drinks on board
and have enough time for swimming.
On the way back we make a detour to the Grand River South East Waterfall (GRSE)
before we reach Île aux Cerfs.
At the Indian BBQ we serve grilled chicken and fish, garlic bread,
various salads, fresh fruit and non-alcoholic (juice) drinks.
as well as non-alcoholic (juice, water, soft drinks)
and alcoholic (beer, wine, rum) drinks.
Afterwards, you are welcome to enjoy plenty of free time here
until departure for the port of Trou d'Eau Douce.

Note:
Please bring your own towels, snorkelling equipment (fins & diving masks),
sunscreen, swimwear and a change of clothes.

In case of uncertain weather conditions (e.g. drizzle),
the boat driver will decide whether the excursion will be carried out
and in which order the islands will be visited.

Please note that the boat driver is entitled to cancel the excursion (even at short notice),
if the safety of the guests cannot be guaranteed (e.g. due to heavy rain and/or high swell).
In this case, your booking price will of course be refunded in full.

Île aux Phare
(also known as Île aux Fouquets or Lighthouse Island).
…here are the ruins of a lighthouse built by the British in 1864.
Breathtaking nature with shallow water towards
the main island on one side,
on the other,
the ocean's roaring surf against the rock.

Île de a Passe
…the island was the scene of the long
and hard-fought naval battle of Grand Port.
It raged between 20 and 25 August 1810 and marked a decisive turning point
in the colonial history of Mauritius.
a decisive turning point in the colonial history of Mauritius.

Île des Deux Cocos
…belongs in parts to the LUX hotel chain.
Only some areas are accessible!
That is why it is often called a “private island”.

Île aux Aigrettes
…is a nature reserve for the conservation of the native flora
of the island of Mauritius and the Mascarene Islands.
The Mauritian Wildlife Foundation operates a small visitor centre on the island,
which may only be entered with prior permission,
a small visitor centre.

Île aux Cerfs
…is very popular with tourists and locals alike as a seaside resort
with its fine white sandy beaches.
It got its name (literally translated “island of the deer”) from the Sambar deer,
which Dutch settlers introduced and released for hunting in the early 17th century,
to ensure a supply of meat. In the meantime,
however, there are no more deer on the island.

BONUS

Grand River South East Waterfall (GRSE)
…the Grand River South East is the longest river on Mauritius
and pours directly into the Indian Ocean here.
